Empowering the Future of (Islamic Entrepreneurship)

SKSEED is a pioneering global initiative designed to serve as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship across the Muslim world. Rooted in the legacy of Saleh Kamel and under the umbrella of ICCD, SKSEED embraces entrepreneurship as a driver of dignity, prosperity, and opportunity.

We work at the intersection of startups, ecosystem enablers, policy, capital, and diaspora engagement—bringing stakeholders together to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and champion ethical growth models.

Why SKSEED Matters

Across 57 OIC member states and Muslim communities worldwide, entrepreneurship is recognized as a powerful engine for:

Yet, significant gaps persist: access to seed funding, scaling pathways, ecosystem maturity, and Sharia-compliant capital remain limited. SKSEED aims to bridge these gaps by convening leaders, amplifying initiatives, and building platforms for long-term impact.

Our Purpose and Goals

Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD)

Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development is an affiliated Organization of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and represents the private sector of 57 member countries. ICCD brings together business communities from OIC countries to encourage fair trade, investment, and opportunity. As our founding partner, ICCD plays a key role in connecting our work with broader development goals across the Islamic world.

The establishment of SKSEED was the result of a structured and strategic decision-making process within the governance framework of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD). The initiative was first proposed during the 3rd Meeting of the ICCD Executive Committee and subsequently endorsed by the ICCD Board of Directors at its 37th Meeting through Resolution No. (37-3-1). Final approval was granted by the ICCD General Assembly at its 40th Meeting, as formalized in Resolution No. (40-4-2). All three pivotal meetings took place in Istanbul, Türkiye, on October 17, 2024.

The creation of SKSEED reflects ICCD’s commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity, with a particular focus on empowering the growing youth population across its member states.
